TATTOO AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS

SECOND SKIN (TAGADERM/SANIDERM)

  • Leave clear second skin bandage on for four to six days
  • You will notice ink/blood/plasma pooling under bandage, do not freak out.  That is normal and part of the healing process
  • Do not soak your bandage (no baths, swimming, hot tubs or saunas)
  • When showering, do not let the water hit the bandage directly
  • Avoid getting soap under bandage edges.  If you do, make sure you rinse soap out
  • Do not expose to direct sunlight
  • Do not work out or do any activities that involve excessive sweating
  • When removing bandage, peel off slowly under warm water when showering

AFTER REMOVAL

  • Wash gently with non scented soap
  • Pat dry with paper towel
  • Apply a tiny amount of non scented lotion (Lubriderm) once or twice per day only when tattoo is feeling dry and tight
  • If any adhesive is left behind after removal, do not force it off. It will come off on its own after a few washes
  • If your blood/plasma leak out of bandage during healing process, contact your artist to clean and reapply a new bandage
  • If you have a buildup of sweat, remove bandage and follow Traditional Aftercare Instructions below
  • If you notice irritation on the skin around the bandage, peel bandage off and follow Traditional After care instructions below

TRADITIONAL BANDAGE
